The Intro to Outdoor Climbing program is designed for complete beginners as well as climbers who have only tried basic indoor or outdoor routes.
In this 2‑day outdoor rock climbing course, you will learn essential movement skills, top‑rope climbing techniques, and the fundamental safety principles required to climb confidently on real rock in Geyikbayırı’s world‑class limestone sectors.
Top‑rope climbing is the easiest, simplest, and safest way to experience rock climbing. Throughout the course, you won’t just climb — you will also learn:

Basic climbing movement and footwork

You will spend plenty of time climbing outdoors in the beautiful crags of Geyikbayırı, while our instructors coach you on technique, movement, and confidence — ensuring you have a fun, safe, and successful experience on the rock.
Correctly fitting a climbing harness, using a chalk bag, and understanding the mechanics of modern belay devices (such as tubular or assisted‑braking devices).
Tying the Figure‑Eight Follow‑Through knot with a stopper knot to secure yourself to the rope — a foundational skill for all climbers.
Mastering the PBUS (Pull, Brake, Under, Slide) method for top‑rope belaying, catching falls safely, and performing controlled lowering.
Standardized verbal commands between climber and belayer to ensure both parties are ready before leaving the ground — essential for safe climbing in busy Geyikbayırı sectors.
Basic footwork, balance, body positioning, and efficient movement on real rock.
