Our From Indoor to Outdoor Climbing Course is designed to help indoor climbers transition safely and confidently to real rock. Geyikbayırı—located in Antalya, Turkey—is one of Europe’s largest and most iconic sport climbing destinations, offering the perfect environment to learn outdoor climbing skills under professional guidance.
This course teaches you how to transfer your gym‑based movement and safety skills to natural rock, understand outdoor systems, and climb bolted sport routes with confidence. In the first phase, you will practice quickdraw placement and clipping while on top‑rope with a short rope simulation, allowing you to develop essential lead‑climbing habits in a fully controlled and safe setting.

REQUIREMENTS
Physical Requirements
Ability to climb basic indoor routes comfortably (5a/5.8 range)
General physical fitness suitable for outdoor activity
Comfortable with heights and exposure
Ability to hike short approach paths to climbing sectors
Technical Requirements
Basic top‑rope belaying experience
Understanding of standard climbing commands
Ability to tie a figure‑eight knot correctly
Indoor climbing experience (minimum beginner level)
Safety & Awareness
Willingness to follow instructor guidance at all times
Respect for outdoor climbing ethics and environmental rules
Awareness of falling zones and safe positioning at the crag
Equipment
All technical climbing equipment is provided by Climbing Geyikbayırı (rope, quickdraws, belay device, helmet, harness, climbing shoes, chalk)
Participants only need comfortable outdoor clothing, water, and snacks
Age & Participation
Minimum age: 14 (with parental consent)
Suitable for beginners transitioning from gym to rock
No prior outdoor climbing experience required
